The two sister's below attended the Noah's Ark day care centre in Mumias. Because of changes to their family circumstances they have had to change schools. The Nasio Trust still supports both girls at their respective schools.  Both girls have a UK sponsor.

St Luke's Primary School (Bumini)

Date of birth: 2001
Family history: Father died of lung disease, mother works as a domestic help. Rizziki has four sisters, including Shariffa Hamisi, and two brothers. Her mother was unable to cope with looking after all seven children so Rizziki now lives with her uncle and attends the school local to his home, St Luke's Bumini.

Rizziki is supported by a UK sponsor.

DEB Primary School

Date of birth: 24 April 2003
Family history: Father died of lung disease, mother works as a domestic help. Shariffa has four sisters, including Rizziki Hamisi, and two brothers. Shariffa's mother requested that she attend DEB primary, rather than Township primary, as some of her siblings are already at that school.  The Nasio Trust continues to support Shariffa at this school.

The new Noah's Ark Centre was officially opened 22 November 2005. It has more than140 children in its care and is manned by ever enthusiastic staff.

st irene's day care centre 

The new St Irene's Centre was officially opened 25 November 2009. It has more than 70 children in its care and room to expand when the funds become available.
