Find Out MoreIn a historic move on December 18th 2019, all 193 member states of the United Nations have formally recognised that orphanages don’t protect children, they harm them, and have called for the progressive elimination of institutional care globally.
Supporters of the Nasio Trust will be aware that our proven model of caring for disadvantaged children in a family-like environment (using a network of amazing Nasio guardians) is a direct reaction to the harm caused by institutionalised care.

We’re very pleased to report that we’ll be partnering with Oxford university again in 2019 as part of their Summer Internship Scheme.
Some of you may recall we recently won an award for the quality and diversity of the internship opportunities we've offered to Oxford students in recent years. Summer 2019 will see that partnership continue and grow.
Find Out MoreThree Beard employees have recently returned from Kenya, the culmination of a 12-month long partnership with two charities on two different continents, the NASIO Trust and Youth Challenge Oxford (YoCO).
As well as building the homes, Kieran, James and Lee were also able to experience other aspects of the daily lives of the Kenyan community, which gave them a real understanding of the challenges faced by the whole community.
Find Out MoreLocal, newly trained cobblers and sewers will take on the manufacture of shoes to be sold to the local community.
To support the enterprise, an educational campaign will inform families on the benefits of the shoes, and on the need to wear them every day.
Find Out MoreAs many of our supporters may know, we regularly welcome interns from Oxford University to come and work with us for a period at The Nasio Trust.
Over the years - these groups of interns have been responsible for some incredible ideas that have repeatedly helped us take the charity to the next level in the ongoing fight to break the cycle of poverty.
